In 1970 Albert Wein moved to the Hudson River Valley. It is here that he created "Arcadian Idyll" a symbol of his return from Abstraction to Classicism. Wein believed that “ancient legends summarized the psychology of man as successfully as the theories of Freud.” The return to the figure allowed Wein to freely express his humanistic ideas and spiritual values.
